  • That's a good point - why *isn't* this getting more coverage? You'd think there'd be groups all over this, condemning things left and right. I mean, we all know China's track record and executions aren't exactly new to them. But it's not like this guy was some political opponent to their regime.

  • Taxes are a necessary function of society. Certain things (police, fire, etc) I don't think can best be served by privatization. You need the people to offer funds (taxes) for a common good. Having NO government only accomplishes anarchy.

  • Why in the world would I pay money so other people can go and party and get drunk? I mean, I'd love to be there and I'd be out there with the best of them if I could....but it's not like donating to Mardi Gras is the same as saving starving homeless or helping a 3rd world country.
